Hello ladies I would like to share my take on awsome relationships.
So here it goes, I met my boyfriend while I was on Erasmus in the Netherlands back in 2012. I have stayed there for three months and didn’t think that we would have a future together as I had to go back to Ireland to finish my studies. However we gave it a chance and for the next 2,5 years we had a long distance relationship, it was a tough time, we missed each other terribly but when we were together we made the most of the time we had. After I graduated I decided to just go for it and move to the Netherlands to be with my Dutch man, in some amazing twist of faith I was able to get a job in a week move the week after that and rent a room in the house he also lived in. Although I was worried how will it go with being together 24/7 since before we only saw each other every three weeks, but we tried and it worked! We have our own place and two Guinea pigs now and life couldn’t be better!

But… My boyfriend loves to travel, he is still in uni working on his thesis and for the 6 years we have been together he travelled on quite long adventures without me. It always sucks in the beginning when you are alone in the house on your own and it’s quiet and yiu miss your other half, but I have realised that this is also a perfect time for me, me and me ☺ I learned so much about myself while living on my own, about being so far away from him again but keeping the relationship going in a great way.

At this right moment ladies I’m on my way to Schiphol to pick him up from his another adventure this time 70 days away in Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, I’m super excited to see him and I feel like I’m falling in love all over again.

I’m curious about your own experiences, did you move for your partner? Have you been in a long distance relationship and how did it go for you? Also if you are in a long term relationship I’m very curious how do you keep it healthy and happy?
